You are told from the age you can talk that you must keep your promises.
Which means you must only make promises you can keep.
A golden rule which will serve you well in life.
But sometimes its not apprioriate.
There will be times where you have makes promises that you’re not sure you can keep.
Not because lying is good, but because confidence is essential.
Confidence from staff, from suppliers, from investors, from banks.
Without that confidence you have no chance of success.
So even though you don’t know whether you can deliver the goods, sometimes you just have to make a promise you’re not sure you can keep.
And then do everything in your power to keep it.
